AAE supports and serves educators in all school settings, including traditional public schools, private schools, and public charter schools. That's why we submitted a proposal to present at the 2017 National Charter Schools Conference in front of over 4,200 dedicated educators from across the nation. Now, a panel of our staff and members has a chance to present, but we need your immediate support to secure our spot by voting for our session!

The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) conducted an international survey of nearly half a million 15-year-old students from 72 countries and economies to determine which countries excel in various educational subjects, and which ones fall behind.
The results of this survey are known as PISA or the Program for International Student Assessment and this particular survey focused on learning about how students compare on a global scale in science.

I’ve dedicated my career to studying child abuse and the traumatic, long-term effects it has on children’s development. Over the decades, two statistics have never strayed far from my thoughts:
- More than one in six children suffers from physical abuse.
- One in 10 children will be sexually abused, often by someone they know and trust.
