Association of American Educators Celebrates
Teacher Appreciation Week 2024

Mission Viejo, CA – The Association of American Educators (AAE), a national, non-union, professional association serving educators in all fifty states, celebrates Teacher Appreciation Week (May 6 – 10, 2024). This annual event is an opportunity to recognize the efforts and the impact teachers make in the lives of students as well as those in the education community including parents, caregivers, colleagues, administrators, and community leaders. AAE especially recognizes the professionalism and collaborative, creative spirit that truly dedicated educators bring to the classroom every day to support their students’ best academic outcomes.

“Educators do more than teach lesson plans – they inspire, they challenge, they imagine and they innovate, and they are role models for our next generation of citizens and scholars,” said AAE Executive Director Colin Sharkey. “As an organization dedicated to empowering and supporting today’s educators and ensuring a bright future for the profession, we enthusiastically celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week.”

Throughout Teacher Appreciation Week, AAE staff will be visiting schools, hosting events, and attending all-school assemblies and parades. Staff will also show AAE’s appreciation through meals, special treats, and posting personal messages of thanks on social media.

The Association of American Educators (AAE) is the largest national, nonunion, professional educator organization, advancing the profession by offering a modern approach to educator empowerment and advocacy—promoting professionalism, collaboration, and excellence without a partisan agenda. AAE is committed to a teaching profession that is student oriented, well respected, and personally fulfilling. AAE serves members in all fifty states and welcomes professionals from all education entities. Membership includes $2 million professional liability insurance, employment rights coverage, professional resources, and many other benefits.
