AAE Celebrates Public Schools Week 2023

Mission Viejo, CA – The Association of American Educators (AAE), a national, nonunion, professional association serving educators in all fifty states, announces its participation in Public Schools Week 2023. This annual week of recognition, February 27 through March 3, 2023, celebrates the contribution of public schools and the dedicated educators who serve America’s public school students. As an association that champions the professionalism of classroom educators, administrators, education specialists, and school staff who are committed to providing the highest quality education to learners of all abilities, this is a week of special significance for the entire organization.

“Our members, the majority of whom serve students in public schools, embrace their responsibility to deliver the best education possible by putting their students first,” said AAE Executive Director Colin Sharkey. “We join with them, parents and guardians, community leaders, legislators, and all supporters of public education in remaining focused on delivering the best educational outcomes for our students in all schools, for the sake of our nation’s future.”

AAE recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of its tens of thousands of members serving students in public schools nationwide as well as the importance public schools have played in the lives of many of AAE’s staff and their families. Awareness efforts throughout the week will include hosting school visits with treats and special activities, as well as social media campaigns and teacher recognition spotlights.

The Association of American Educators (AAE) is the largest national, nonunion, professional educator organization, advancing the profession by offering a modern approach to educator empowerment and advocacy—promoting professionalism, collaboration, and excellence without a partisan agenda.
