Association of American Educators Celebrates Teacher Appreciation Week

Alexandria, VA – The Association of American Educators (AAE), a national non-union, professional association serving educators in all fifty states, is celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week 2019 (May 6-May 10) with events at schools throughout the nation. AAE staff and member leaders will be delivering cookies, coffee, donuts, bagels, cakes, thank you notes, gifts, and hugs to member and non-member educators in public district, public charter, parochial, and private schools across the country.

Association of American Educators Executive Director Colin Sharkey released the following statement:

“We at AAE thank America’s teachers for their commitment to the profession, their colleagues, their communities, and, most importantly, their students. It is supremely fulfilling to serve the tens of thousands of educators in our membership and many, many others through our programs. We are grateful to work alongside countless educator leaders who share our vision that teachers be properly rewarded and acknowledged for the vital role they serve in developing the future generation. The women and men who educate children from every background in schools of all types and sizes are worthy of praise this week and always.”
