AAE-PACE Member & Hope Street Group Fellow Needs Your Help!
posted by: Alana | October 19, 2015, 07:13 PM

Hope Street Group Teacher Fellows like AAE-PACE member Jill Cullis are talking to teachers around the country about their ideas for improving teacher prep. They are collaborating on this project with several national leaders including American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) and the U.S. Department of Education.

As a passionate high school history and civics teacher, Cullis is excited to give classroom teachers the voice they deserve in education policy.

However, being selected as a National Teacher Fellow is a huge responsibility because it takes hundreds of classroom experiences to generate the voice Cullis represents. Cullis describes this opportunity as, “A GREAT [way] for those of us in the trenches to impact education.” Cullis is currently conducting a brief survey containing 5 questions.

Now is your chance to be part of something big. Will you participate in this survey?

Share your ideas and opinions and then send this out to other teachers so they can be part of this discussion as well! Your responses will be kept anonymous but are hugely important to this national conversation. But don't delay...the survey closes on October 30th!

Combined with thousands of teachers' voices across the country, Hope Street Group Teacher Fellows like Jill will share these findings with national and state leaders.

Please contact Wendy Uptain wendy@hopestreetgroup.org if you would like a copy of the report when it comes out this spring or if you'd like more information about Hope Street Group.

Are you an AAE member doing great things in the classroom? Tell us about it!
