Top Teacher Discounts for Summer
posted by: Melissa | June 07, 2017, 12:38 PM

School’s out for summer, and what’s a teacher to do? Hopefully, this will be a season of relaxation and reinvigoration for educators across the nation. All those projects and all the travel can get a bit costly on a teacher’s budget though, so here are some discounts that will help you make the most of the summer months:

Bookstores: What’s the point of summer if you can’t sit poolside and enjoy a few good books? Several bookstores offer teacher discounts so that you can expand your summer reading list! To find great books at a decent price, check out Barnes & Noble’s Educator program, Books-a-Million’s Educator card, or Book Warehouse’s Educators’ Book Club.

Crafts: Summer’s also a perfect time to work on a few of those half-finished craft projects sitting in the corner. Luckily, several stores have you covered. A.C. Moore, Ben Franklin Crafts, Michael’s, and JoAnn Fabrics all have teacher discounts.

Organization: Maybe you don’t need to finish your projects as much as you need to use these months to get yourself organized. Well, The Container Store has a teacher discount that will help you do just that.

Travel: The whole point of the summer is to travel, see some great sights, visit some museums, and maybe even an amusement park! If that’s on your list, Marriott Hotels offers a special rate to government employees, and Disney Springs’ hotels offer teacher discounts. Florida teachers can also get free admission to Legoland Florida and SeaWorld and all teachers get free admission to Orlando’s Crayola Experience.

Don’t forget! AAE members also have access to even more special discounts with their membership. Look in your member materials for more information!
