Have You Read the AAE Code of Ethics?
posted by: Alana | June 03, 2016, 05:27 PM

Though there are many things that make AAE members stand out from members of other educator associations, perhaps the greatest difference is that AAE member teachers subscribe to the AAE Code of Ethics.

The AAE Code of Ethics is comprised of four essential pillars:

PRINCIPLE I: Ethical Conduct toward Students

PRINCIPLE II: Ethical Conduct toward Practices and Performance

PRINCIPLE III: Ethical Conduct toward Professional Colleagues

PRINCIPLE IV: Ethical Conduct toward Parents and Community

Drafted by a distinguished group of educators from the AAE Advisory Board and Executive Committee in 1994, this code of ethics was built around the rights of both students and educators alike!

Here at AAE, we know that true professional educators strive to create learning environments that nurture and fulfill the potential of all students. As such, they act with conscientious effort to exemplify the highest ethical standards. In doing so, they accept the responsibility to provide every child with the right to an uninterrupted education free from strikes or any other work stoppage tactics.

AAE is proud to stand behind a code of ethics that gives members a sense of pride and belonging. It’s because of these basic principles that educators nationwide are valued as true professionals.
